All Time Record update

Honus Wagner continues to lead the league in almost every lifetime statistic:  games, runs, hits, total bases, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, walk, strikeouts, and steals!

Ty Cobb is rapidly climbing the lifetime Batting Average chart, now just .008 points away from Big Ed Delahanty and Nap Lajoie.

Ten batters now have over 1100 hits.

Nap Lajoie and Honus Wagner are tied for the all-time lead in home runs with 66. That's a whopping average of 6.6 per season  :-)

Walter Johnson has fully arrived in his 4th season in the league.  The Big Train now holds the all-time ERA lead with 2.20, as well as the best career winning percentage (.671).

Cy Young finally cracked the 100 Win mark, but he continues to lead the league in career losses with 165.  Doc White also joined the 100 Win club this season.

Christy Mathewson joined the 2000 Strikeout club, and moved ahead of Rube Waddell with 2045.

Sherry Magee was runner-up for MVP but was the most valuable batsmen this year.   We have now had 8 seasons where a pitcher won both Cy Young and MVP awards, so I do like to keep track of the most valuable everyday players.  Here is the updated list...

1901 Jimmy Sheckard (NYG)
1902 Honus Wagner (BOA)
1903 Honus Wagner (BOA)
1904 Nap Lajoie (NYG)
1905 Honus Wagner (BOA)
1906 Honus Wagner (BOA)
1907 Honus Wagner (BOA)
