Latest OTBL Milestones

Congrats again to Frank and his World Champion 1907 Tigers, and thanks to all for another great old-timey season!

We have seven seasons now in the new-fangled sport of 'base ball', and a few more players have hit significant milestones.  There is a ton on interesting stats and lists in the links on the right side of this page, try to take some time to explore our all-time OTBL data!

Honus Wagner continues to be the career leader in runs scored, hits, total bases, doubles, triples, and stolen bases.

Addie Joss gets 32 wins this year
to crash into the 100 Win club
Tiger aces Addie Joss and Ed Plank joined the 100 Win club.  Plank is also the career leader in shutouts, with 20 goose-egg games on his resume.  Iron Joe McGinnity is the likely next member of this elite group, Iron Joe sits at 91 wins.

Several players cracked the 1000 Hit barrier this season, the group consists of Cy Seymour, Elmer Flick, Ginger Beaumont, and Wahoo Sam Crawford.  SLN's Fred Clarke is just 8 hits away.

Only two players have played over 1000 games in this league.  One is not surprising, Honus Wagner couldn't put up those outrageous career stats without playing a lot (1015 games).  However, the person with the most games played in was a bit surprising, Detroit SS Bobby Wallace has logged action in 1029 games through the course of the OTBL.
