1904 Season Recap

NYG Nap Lajoie wins the Triple Crown
This season was ALL about the New York Giants, as the juggernaut team raced to a league-record 101 wins and the 1904 World Series title!  Nap Lajoie won the Triple Crown, but the MVP and Cy Young Award went to his teammate, Rube Waddell.  The Rube racked up a record 377 strikeouts in 379 innings!   . 












Some of the top performers of the season include..

-Nap Lajoie's Triple Crown season consisted of a..384 average, with 20 HRs, and 117 RBIs
-Jack Chesbro (PIN) threw a no-hitter
-Red Patterson (BOA) racks up 25 saves
-Honus Wagner led all basestealers with 54 stolen bases
-Three Finger Brown (SLN) takes the ERA title at 2.11, edging out Jack Chesbro (PIN) who finished at 2.12
